Taiwan market: CHT raises ADSL speeds without hiking prices
Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) on July 14 announced it will upgrade three existing ADSL download/upload speeds with circuit-lease and network fees remaining unchanged.
CHT proposed the planned upgrade in ADSL speeds without hiking prices to the National Communications Commission (NCC) in March 2010, and NCC on July 14 approved the plans, CHT pointed out. Currently, CHT has 19.38 million users of its leased circuits and 1.496 million users of its Internet-access services at the three speed combinations, the company indicated.
