MTS will provide free Wi-Fi branch of Sberbank of Russia in the Volga region

Operator MTS has announced the launch of a pilot project to provide Internet access to Wi-Fi technology 70 branches of the Savings Bank, organizational subordinates Volga bank. MTS will provide Wi-Fi-based access as mobile and fixed networks - each point is chosen the best technical solution. At the initial stage of the project will be launched in Astrakhan, Volgograd, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Orenburg and Penza regions. The project will provide MTS communication channels and equipment for the organization of the points of free Internet access on Wi-Fi technology in the areas of customer service, negotiation and other premises for the presence of the mass of visitors. MTS installs in bank branches universal router "MTS 3G-Router." The device lets you connect to a wireless Wi-Fi a large group of users simultaneously, using a wired (Ethernet) or wireless (3G/2G) network in dependence on the availability of technical resources. Implementation of the project is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2011. In June 2011, MTS won a tender to choose a single national mobile operator for departments of the Savings Bank of Russia on the whole territory of the Russian Federation. As a result of competition within the national collective agreement for two years, MTS will provide the services division of the Savings Bank of mobile voice and data communications, including networks of 3G.
