MTS has accelerated the 3G-internet in the Volga region for owners of modern gadgets
The telecommunications operator MTS announced the completion of the first phase of 3G network upgrade in the Volga region, in which the maximum speed of mobile internet increased by 2 times and made 42 Mbit / s.
Today, more than 60% of base stations MTS in the Volga region have active functional technology Dual Carrier-HSDPA + (DC-HSDPA +). This technology allows the use of two instead of one UMTS frequency, thereby increasing network capacity and average speed subscriber access to the network is doubled. This, according to the operator, significantly improves the quality of work in 3G networks and provides users with a comfortable viewing HD-video streaming, video conferencing, fast boot "heavy" media files, and other services based on mobile internet.
Technology DC-HSDPA + is available in all regions of the Volga region since the beginning of 2013, mainly in regional centers and major cities. The most actively upgrading the network in the first half of 2013 passes in the Chuvash Republic (more than 75% of base stations support the technology DC-HSDPA +), Nizhny Novgorod region (65%), Orenburg Oblast and the Republic of Mari El (64%), Samara and Saratov regions (62 %).
