5 good reasons to enter the Nokia Low Light Photography Competition

Hang out with the Nokia Lumia 925 for an evening and you’ll soon see it’s the best low light photography smartphone on the planet.  To celebrate this fact and to showcase the creativity of budding photographers, we’ve recently teamed up with Dazed and Confused magazine to launch the Nokia Low Light Photography Competition. To win we want to see the best urban city/street style photography captured in low light conditions.
If this gets your camera trigger finger itching in anticipation, you’ll be pleased to hear there’s some very good reasons why you should enter.
1. It’s super easy to get involved
All you need to do is take a low light photograph and click the green participate button at the bottom right hand corner of this page. From there you’ll be taken to a screen where you fill in a few details and away you go.

2. You can enter an entire portfolio
If you’re lucky enough to have more than one shot, you can showcase your entire portfolio. Firstly, you need to add your selection to your profile on Talenthouse, who are hosting the competition. To do that follow the instructions above. Once your portfolio is on Talenthouses’s site, upload one of your favourite images as your competition submission entry and then in the ‘description’ box add a link to your entire portfolio for the judges to see.
3. There’s fifty chances to be a finalist and earn upto $500
Yeap, you heard us right. Fifty people will be selected as finalists by us, Dazed & Confused and renowned photographer Tyrone Lebon. These finalists will all trial a Nokia Lumia 925 for two weeks and then be asked to upload a new portfolio of low light shots taken on the Nokia Lumia 925. What’s more, every time these finalist’s have their photos shared on social media networks, they’ll earn money, with anything up to $500 up for grabs.

4. You could win an all expenses paid trip to New Zealand
New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places on earth. What better location than to fly the three lucky winners to. Armed with their Nokia Lumia 925s and as part of the Nokia Photography Team, they’ll be sent to shoot the 2013 Burton High Fives snowboarding competition, showcasing both their skills and the Nokia Lumia 925.
5. Your photos might be published in the world’s most influential indie mag
For 20 years, Dazed & Confused has been at the forefront of youth culture. Based in London but created by an international collective of writers, image-makers and stylists, Dazed and its websitedazeddigital.com is read in print, online and on mobile by over 500,000 style leaders. It is quite simply the most influential and successful independent magazine title on the planet. And the three lucky winners will see their photos showcased in its pages.
