Samsung Electronics Co.’s flagship smartphone Galaxy S7 will likely be the main driver for the electronics giant’s impressive second quarter earnings.

According to the electronics and securities industry sources Thursday, combined sales of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus are estimated to exceed 15 million units for the April - June period. Sales of the premium phones surged well over 10 million units in about just 20 days since their launch on March 11 and continued an upswing into the second quarter.
