Samsung beat out other multinational firms to top the list of brands in Asia, followed by Apple Inc., Sony Corp., Nestle Co. and Panasonic Corp., according to the Campaign Asia-Pacific 2016 Asia's Top 1000 Brands report.
The report was based on an annual survey conducted by Hong Kong-based market research publisher Campaign Asia-Pacific and information provider Nielsen Co. targeting consumers in 13 key regional markets across the Asia-Pacific region.
The report identified Samsung as the most desirable brand in Asia in terms of brand perception from consumers.
The report also said consumer electronics brands dominated its rankings list, with Apple advancing two notches to No. 2.
