T-Mobile’s Un-Stoppable Un-CEO climbs to #12 in Glassdoor’s most admired CEOs for 2016 and #1 in Greater Seattle Area!
Bellevue, Washington — T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) President and CEO John Legere today was again named one of Glassdoor’s Highest Rated CEOs for 2016—coming in at #12 among the top 50 CEOs in America. Legere not only received a remarkable approval rating of 95% – based on anonymous, voluntary employee reviews submitted to Glassdoor – the Un-CEO also climbed two spots from #14 to #12 in just the past year alone.
Additionally, Legere claimed the#1 CEO spot for large companies based in the Seattle-area, and was joined by other top ranked local executives from Expedia (#21), Zillow (#23), Slalom Consulting (#44) and Costco (#46) – who made the top 50 CEO list for U.S. companies with more than 1000 employees.
"My #1 job is to bring the Un-carrier to life—both for our customers and for our people,” said Legere. “Here at T-Mobile, that means making this a challenging, inclusive and diverse workplace where we can all be ourselves and do what we do best—solve customer pain points. And it means making sure our people share in this company’s success by making them owners through annual stock grants.”
Beyond sharing their admiration for their leader on Glassdoor, the passion and commitment Legere inspires in T-Mobile employees can also been seen through the company’s long list of recent accolades and awards, including…
A Human Rights Campaign (HRC) “Best Place to Work” in 2016 for the third year in a row, with a perfect 100 score on the Corporate Equality Index.
No. 17 on Glassdoor’s 2014 list of the 25 Top Companies for Compensation and Benefits—with employees giving 4 out of 5 stars for compensation and benefits offerings which include annual stock grants for all employees.
Ethisphere Institute’s 2016 “World’s Most Ethical Companies” for eight years in a row. T-Mobile was the only major U.S. wireless provider to receive the award.
A 95% increase in local ‘Best Places to Work’ awards; and a 43% increase in national ‘Best Company to Work for’ awards
“You won’t find John Legere in the corner office,” said Liz Sullivan, Executive Vice President, Human Resources at T-Mobile. “He’s out talking with customers and employees, visiting them in field stores and call centers, listening and making changes that impact the business and creating the kind of place people are excited and proud to come to work to everyday. John really is America’s Un-CEO.”
CEO approval ratings are gathered through Glassdoor’s online company review survey, which seeks to gain current and former employee sentiment about job and company satisfaction, the work environment and the culture. Employees are asked to rate a number of workplace factors like compensation and benefits as well as work-life balance, and asked whether they approve or disapprove of the way their CEO is leading the company. In addition, employees are asked to describe some of the upsides and downsides of working for the company and provide any advice for senior management.
