Xperia X sees new firmware update (34.0.A.2.301)

Sony Mobile is rolling a new firmware update for the Xperia X with build number 34.0.A.2.301. This update doesn’t carry any changelog, but is a small update over the previous firmware version (34.0.A.2.292), so we imagine Sony has made some small bug fixes.

The previous ‘292 update introduced a number of enhancements including improvements to fingerprint management software (current fingerprints will be deleted and will need to be registered again), a fine-tuned camera experience, improved touch performance and various stability/battery improvements.

The ‘292’ update introduced the 1 June 2016 security patches from Google, but the latest ‘301’ update doesn’t move that forward. This update also includes the same home launcher (version 10.0.B.0.51) that features in the ‘292’ update, with support for circular or square folders, depending on your preference. You can find the FTF firmware file for both Xperia X variants below. Let us know if you find anything else new in the comments below.
