Samsung Telecommunications America Names Chief Marketing Officer
DALLAS, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) today announced the appointment of Bill Ogle as chief marketing officer, a newly created position. Ogle will report directly to Samsung president Dale Sohn and have responsibility for driving consumer branding and product marketing strategies in the U.S.

Ogle joins Samsung after 12 years at Pizza Hut, where he most recently held the role of chief marketing officer. While at Pizza Hut, Ogle helped reposition the brand and achieved significant sales and share growth. Ogle also served as the chief marketing officer in the U.K., where he helped redefine brand awareness and guided the overseas division to record sales and profit. He returned to Pizza Hut's Dallas headquarters in 2002 as the chief concept development officer, launching the restaurant's Italian Bistro and WingStreet brands.
Prior to joining Pizza Hut, Mr. Ogle held brand management positions at Procter & Gamble and Sara Lee Corporation.
