LG Mobile Phones Partners With VH1 Save the Music Foundation for Multi-faceted Music Education Campaign
Gala Event With John Mayer And Jon Bon Jovi Kicks-off Year Long Partnership
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. (LG Mobile Phones) has joined forces with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation for a one year, multi-faceted partnership. It was announced today by Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy & marketing of LG Mobile Phones and Paul Cothran, Executive Director, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. The partnership will officially kick-off at the VH1 Save The Music's 10th Anniversary Gala this evening, September 20th, at New York City's Lincoln Center.
Hosted by Maria Menounos, the 10th Anniversary Gala will pay tribute to Former President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, VH1 Save The Music founder John Sykes, Mariah Carey and NAMM, The International Music Products Association. The evening will feature performances by Jon Bon Jovi, John Mayer, Miri Ben Ari and Roger Waters, as well as a student orchestra comprised of students from New York City schools and across the country. Tim Gunn will serve as emcee for the live auction, which features one-of-a-kind items and experiences from VH1 Save the Music Foundation partners.
In addition to the Gala, the 2007-2008 program activities include check presentations at schools around the country for a total donation of $250,000 to support ongoing music education in public schools. The partnership will also feature 'Come Together' TV spots produced by LG Mobile Phones to raise awareness towards this fundamental cause and showcase students who have benefited from music programs. The spots will air throughout the year nationally.
