Myterious smartphone shows up on Sony Ericsson's site

This showed up over at the Polish Sony Ericsson site. The device is called the R380e...there is a R380 made by Ericsson in the past. The phone has an "e" after the R380 plus it's listed among the latest Sony Ericsson phones (but image is not available). I really wonder if this is just a glitch at their site (messing up with the classic R380 by Ericsson) or a new R380e (resurrection of the R380) to be announced in the future. Here is the product description of the R380e.

Open to communicate and organize

The Ericsson R380e is a combined mobile phone and organizer. It is a total solution for mobile communication, including telephony, e-mail, concatenated SMS and WAP 1.2.1
. It has a large touchscreen for maximum comfort and ease of use. When writing, you can use the R380e handwriting recognition feature or an on-screen standard keyboard. The R380e can store details about hundreds of contacts and the effective R380e calendar is all you need to organize your life. The R380e calendar, contacts and other features can be synchronized with similar PC applications.

An ideal business tool, R380e is designed to increase productivity.

  1. There where to R380 phones from Ericsson, R380s and a R380e, cant remember the exact difference, but I have had both of them... I think the only differnce was the color and key design plus a newer WAP version on the "e" model. The R380s could however be upgraded to the "e" version via a software update.
