LG HB620T DVB-T phone: watch live digital TV on your mobile
LG has launched the catchy-named LG HB620T, which those square-eyed may be interested to know is a DVB-T digital TV phone. That's what that funny aerial's all about and before the cynics amongst you start getting in a huff, it is available in Europe. Yes, that's right. You can own it.
The phone uses DVB-T rather than the mobile designed DVB-H signal which means it works in exactly the same way as a domestic Freeview box. It's got a better than expected 2-megapixel camera, it has Bluetooth, a web browser, mulitmedia player and it supports HSDPA at 7.2Mbps - good enough to stream video. The downside is the 2-inch screen, which is a little on the titchy side. I wouldn't really fancy squinting at it for a 90-minute football match.
Still, if you don't want to carry a whopping great slab of an iPhone around in your pocket, this 110g device will do the job nicely.
