Cal-Comp says operations unaffected by Thailand turmoil

Cal-Comp Electronics, the Thailand-based EMS subsidiary of Taiwan's Kinpo group, has reported that its operations remain unaffected by the ongoing political turmoil that has prompted the Thai government to declare a state of emergency in Bangkok.

The company said although both of its production bases are in the vicinity of the Thai capital, so far their neighborhoods have not seen any obvious impact from the turmoil. The company noted that it does not expect operations to be affected.

Cal-Comp said riots and protests have occurred in Thailand in the past, but they have usually taken place in specific areas without spreading far.
