Freescale to showcase advanced embedded technology at MexEEdev 2008
Company experts to deliver keynote and eight technical workshops and demonstrate latest semiconductor product innovations
GUADALAJARA, México (MexEEdev) – Freescale Semiconductor, a global leader in the design and manufacture of semiconductors, will showcase its embedded products and technical expertise at MexEEdev 2008. Held October 9-11 at Expo Guadalajara, MexEEdev is the most important electronic design and embedded software event in Mexico, attracting the nation’s foremost system developers.
“Each year, Freescale maintains a strong presence at MexEEdev because it is the premier event in Mexico for the embedded applications industry,” said Germán Hernández, general manager of Freescale Semiconductor México. “Over the years, MexEEdev has continued to attract more and more participants, from developers and customers to engineering students to end users, enabling Freescale to position itself as an embedded leader in the Mexican market.”
During the event, Mauricio Gomez, a manager with Freescale’s Microcontroller Solutions Group, will present a keynote address on how emerging industry trends are driving new technology development and impacting the lives of consumers.
Freescale engineers also will present eight technical workshops, providing MexEEdev attendees with specialized training in electronic design and embedded software.
“Training is a key element of Freescale’s embedded solutions strategy,” added Hernández. “It’s critical to keep embedded developers up to date on the latest technology developments. To accelerate rapid adoption of our next-generation technology, we’re providing developers with in-depth knowledge of advanced hardware and software platforms.”
In addition to providing training opportunities, Freescale will demonstrate a wide range of semiconductor products and system solutions, including the top two winning applications developed by Mexican engineers during the recent Freescale Technology Forum 2008 Design Challenge.
