Silitech handset keypad shipments not affected by global financial crisis
Silitech Technology expects its revenues to continue to grow in the fourth quarter of this year as its shipments of handset keypads have continued to move forward without being disrupted by the current economic downturn, according to company sources.
Thanks to increased handset keypad shipments and effective cost reduction measures, the company saw its third-quarter gross margins improve to 24.3% from 24.1% in the previous quarter, and its after-tax profits advanced 19.1% on quarter to NT$326 million (US$9.73 million), the company said after a board meeting on October 24.
For the first three quarters of this year, after-tax profits reached NT$818 million, or NT$4.8 per share, on consolidated revenues of NT$2.51 billion, the company said.
