Internet - a prerequisite for life for young people

Internet firm entered our lives, probably, the vast majority of young people at least once benefited from the global network. Interestingly, the majority of adult Americans believed Internet access to an essential condition for daily life in today's economic situation, but for some it is so important that they preferred to view it on your TV. These are the results of a recent survey «The significance of the Internet in the modern economy», conducted by Harris Interactive and sponsored corporation Intel.

The survey has shown that 65% of adults believe that will not be able to live without the Internet, and an even greater number of respondents (71%) said they found important or very important to have a device to connect to the Internet - laptops, netbuki and mobile Internet devices ( MIDs), which can constantly keep abreast of important developments, including the economic situation.

«What's important for you to - the Internet or sex?» - As a poll showed that nearly half of women (46%) and 30% of men would prefer to 2 weeks go without sex than to abandon the Internet at the same time. For women aged 18-34 years, the figure was 49% for women aged 35-44 years - 52%. For men aged 18-34 years, it is equal to 39%.

84% ever saves money by comparing prices online and find the most attractive offers before deciding to purchase. 66% save money simply by shopping online. 65% indicate that saves money thanks to the Internet through search coupons, discounts and special promotional Internet shares.

67% of Americans aged 18-34 years, 57% aged 35-44 years and 52% aged 45 and older would prefer to 2 weeks to dispense with the TV than a week without the Internet. «Internet makes life better» - 9 out of 10 adult Americans (91%), argue that Internet access has improved at least one aspect of their lives.

The survey was conducted in the territory of the United States by Harris Interactive commissioned by Intel among 2119 adults aged 18 years.
