Cardinals Fans Heading To Tampa, Florida, For The Big Game – The Verizon Wireless Network Is Coming With You!
CHANDLER, AZ — The Arizona Cardinals and their fans will soon be on their way to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa for the championship game against Pittsburgh on Sunday, February 1. And just like in the commercials, customers can count on their Verizon Wireless network to be there with them for all the Big Game festivities.
Teams of real-life Verizon Wireless network technicians have been working all season long on millions of dollars in network upgrades in and around the Florida stadium including:
Permanent installation of the latest high-tech wireless equipment throughout the stadium and in the light towers hundreds of feet above the ground;
An advanced in-building system throughout the stadium’s inner spaces; and
Expansion of voice and high-speed data channels in more than 50 digital transmission sites located throughout downtown Tampa, near the stadium and in all the areas where game-related activities will take place.
During the weekend of the Big Game, Verizon Wireless will also activate the most powerful COLT (Cell On Light Truck) in the company’s Florida fleet at Raymond James Stadium.
“Fans from Arizona and around the nation can rely on Verizon Wireless to make calls, send photo and video messages, connect to the Internet with PC cards and navigate around Tampa,” said Tony Heyman, regional president, Verizon Wireless.
