RAS supports the "International Forum on Satellite Navigation 2009"

Russian Academy of Sciences announced its support for and participation in international forums on satellite navigation, 2009, noting the words: «... the Russian Academy of Sciences attaches paramount importance to the introduction of a variety of innovative technologies to enhance economic and scientific potential of the Russian Federation. Of particular importance among these technologies is the satellite navigation system GLONASS, established and developed by Russian scientists and engineers.

... In view of the foregoing, the Russian Academy of Sciences supports the 12-15 May 2009. III International Forum on satellite navigation, together with a specialized exhibition «Naviteh Expo-2009» and was confident that the forum will contribute to the active implementation of the domestic satellite navigation technology, expanding the pool of potential users of the GLONASS system, to obtain information on new scientific and technological solutions and experience them introduction ».
