Alcatel-Lucent sees Asia Pacific business continue growing on cautious guidance
Alcatel-Lucent, while looking cautiously over the outlook for the enterprise network market in Asia Pacific in 2009, expects its business for enterprise network equipment will continue to grow in the region in the first quarter of this year, according to Wolfgang Hackenberg, Alcatel-Lucent Asia Pacific vice president, enterprise business.
In addition to strengthening its network solution business, Alcatel-Lucent will also focus on its services business and application enabler service, targeting energy, education, transportation and medical segments, Hackenberg said.
The contact center Alcatel-Lucent built for Thailand-based Siam Commercial Bank is part of its services business extended to specialized business sector, Hackenberg esplained.
Under the application enabler service program, Alcatel-Lucent offers middleware solutions linking network infrastructure and application services, said Hackenberg, noting that the application enabler service will help address applications involved broadband management, network security, authentication, and identification process, among others.
