HTC allowed to ship Android-powered handsets to Germany in the meantime, says paper
High Tech Computer (HTC) will be allowed to ship its Android-powered smartphones to Germany in the meantime as a petition court in Germany has decided to review in four weeks an injunction requested by IPCom to ban imports of the HTC handsets to Germany over allegations that the Taiwan-based maker has infringed upon some patents held by IPCom, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
The Android-powered handsets will be the growth driver for HTC in the second quarter of this year as Vodafone will begin to sell HTC Magic handsets in Europe in April, in addition to the G1 handsets being marketed by T-Mobile in Germany since February, the paper said.
