The new memory cards and hard drives Pretec

At CeBIT, started today in Hanover, the company Pretec revealed some interesting novelties. Pretec 666X CF Card - Memory Card standard CompactFlash, with its high speed data transfer up to 100 MB / sec. That is four times faster than a typical CF-card. The model has a solid construction and a metal shell that protects against mechanical damage. It is 10 times stronger than normal CF cards, and provides a confident working professional photographers for any, even the most severe conditions. The first samples of Pretec 666X CF cards with capacity of 4 GB to 64 GB will be supplied from April 2009

Perhaps this model will be the last for the development of this standard, because its speed is close to the theoretical maximum specification CompactFlash - 133 MB / sec. In place of this standard CompactFlash Association has already developed CFast, the specification of a new generation of CF, which overcomes the limit of speed parallel interface connecting drives (PATA) through the use of a consistent architecture Serial ATA (SATA II), which provides the possibility of transferring data at speeds of up to 3 Gb / s (375 MB / s). Pretec, by the way, has already introduced the world's first memory card standard CFast, which in the future promises to be a leader for this form factor.

Pretec 32GB SDXC (eXtended Capacity) Card - card is a new generation of standard SD (Secure Digital), supports up to 2 TB volume and rate of exchange of up to 50 MB / s (in the future it is planned to raise up to 104 MB / s and even up to 300 MB / s ). At the moment this is the fastest and emkaya SD memory card in the world. In the memory cards used SDXC improved compared with the FAT32 file system exFAT. Map Pretec 32GB SDXC has an exchange rate of up to 50 MB / s and has already provided as samples. In the second half of 2009 is planned to increase capacity to 64 GB cards.

Pretec ExpressCard SSD - new dual interface ExpressCard (Notebook) / USB (for various PC, devices and embedded systems). Low power, high speed access and maximum storage capacity for solid state drives (up to 64/128 GB) make this model a convenient solution for mobile and embedded systems. Pretec ExpressCard SSD provides reliable protection of user data from unauthorized access through hardware 256-bit AES-encrypted. New product now available as samples and mass production is scheduled to begin in April 2009
