Windows Marketplace: Developers will get 70% of the profits
The company Microsoft has announced its own online store application for an operating system, Windows Mobile during the MWC 2009. However, in what specific circumstances developers will be able to deploy applications and perform a distribution, it was not clear. And now, Microsoft has made an official statement: The developer will receive 70% of the profits from sales of its application to the Windows Marketplace. In order to obtain the right to put their programs in E-Shop, you must pay $ 99 (annual payments). After that, the developer will be able to publish in the Windows Marketplace to 5 applications per year. For each additional application, over those 5 would have to pay another $ 99.
Windows Marketplace service will initially be available in 29 countries. Registration will begin in spring of developers, and deployment of applications in the catalog they will begin in late summer.
