Chunghwa Telecom nets NT$1.11 per share for first quarter

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) on April 10 reported a net profit of NT$2.80 billion (US$82.8 million) for March 2009, with its January-March net profit of NT$10.78 translating into net EPS of NT$1.11.

CHT had about 1.19 million FTTx (fiber to the home/building) subscribers and 490,000 8Mbps ADSL subscribers at the end of March 2009, the company indicated.

Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) also released their financial figures on April 10.
