Samsung expected to increase supply share of CMOS image sensors to HTC

The proportion of Samsung Electronics' CMOS image sensors (CISs) used in High Tech Computer's (HTC's) handsets is expected to reach 50% with a more competitive pricing at the end of 2009 amid sales of HTC's 5-megapixel smartphones, according to market sources. Currently 60-70% of HTC's handsets adopt Aptina Imaging's CIS products, the sources added.
