Network Norway first Scandinavian operator to offer Nokia Messaging
Espoo, Finland and Oslo, Norway - Nokia and Network Norway announced today that they have signed a deal that will make Network Norway the first operator in Norway, and also in Scandinavia, to offer Nokia Messaging, Nokia's push email service. The service will be available to Network Norway subscribers in July.
"Applications like Nokia Messaging contribute to easier mobile living for our customers, and we're happy to be the first to deliver this service in Norway. We believe our customers will find this service appealing, both in terms of user-friendliness and price," says Arild E. Hustad, CEO at Network Norway.
"Nokia wants to make mobile email available for as many people as possible, and the agreement with Network Norway is an important milestone in this work. With Nokia Messaging, we meet people's need for access to email whenever they want, wherever they want," says Christophe Joyau, Head of Services, Nokia Scandinavia.
Nokia Messaging is an easy to set-up and easy to use push email service which allows the user to mobilize up to ten personal email accounts in one device. Nokia's agreement with Network Norway includes all leading consumer solutions for email, such as Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail, as well as local email service providers. The user can read, send, forward and reply to emails and download, read and attach files directly on their phone. Push-technology ensures fast delivery of email to the mobile phone as soon as the email arrives on the email server.
Nokia Messaging is fully integrated with the recently launched Nokia E75, and this will also include upcoming models such as the Nokia E55, Nokia E52 and Nokia N86 8MP. The service is already supported by 19 S60 devices from Nokia: consumers can continue using their existing Nokia S60 devices, such as Nokia E71 or Nokia N95 8GB. To get started with Nokia Messaging, they can easily download and install the setup on the device and begin using the service within just a few minutes.
