AT&T Wins Two Carrier Excellence Awards in Atlantic-ACM 2009 Business Connectivity and Wireless Report Card
AT&T* has been named the winner of two Carrier Excellence Awards in the categories of Brand (ILEC/IXC) and Small and Medium Business (SMB) Voice Value at the 2009 ATLANTIC-ACM Summer Spree, hosted at the Harvard Club of Boston.
The awards are based on the results of the annual Business Connectivity and Wireless Report Card, which rates the performance of business connectivity providers based on more than 3,000 individual carrier evaluations from the carriers’ small, medium and large/enterprise business customers.
In addition to winning in the Brand (ILEC/IXC) and SMB Voice Value category, AT&T was also recognized as the top-scoring carrier for the quality and price of its Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and Frame Relay Services, which enable high-speed transmission of voice, data, video and multimedia applications on a single network by supporting rapidly changing bandwidth demands. AT&T was also the top-scoring carrier for the quality of its local private line (with speeds T1 and below), long haul private line (with speeds T1 and below) and VoIP.
"Consistently earning high scores and positive reviews from customers in this study, AT&T continues to impress us all with its strong brand and wide range of quality products and services that deliver ongoing, high customer satisfaction,” said Judy Reed Smith, CEO, ATLANTIC-ACM.
The ATLANTIC-ACM domestic business connectivity research is an industry-wide, survey-based study that enables small and medium-sized business and enterprise customers to provide feedback on multiple carriers in a variety of service and product categories, as well as evaluate carriers’ operations. The awards are based on the average score each carrier received for each operation and service/product category. Carrier excellence awards were divided between incumbent/interexchange carriers (ILEC/IXC) and competitive local exchange carrier/cable provider/fiber provider (CLEC/Cable/Fiber).
The study results will be included in the ATLANTIC-ACM Business Connectivity and Wireless Report Card, which is in its fourth year and continues to succeed in capturing a valuable overview of the business connectivity landscape from the customer's perspective. The report card features business/enterprise customer ratings of carrier performance in specific product and business relationship categories from the past 12 months of service.
AT&T has established an online resource center – AT&T Small Business InSite (www.att.com/smallbusinessinsite), which is focused on the growth and success of small business customers by delivering robust and interactive “how-to” advice that helps both the seasoned small business owner and the “just-getting-started” entrepreneur integrate advanced business technologies into their businesses.
