China Telecom to cooperate with HTC and VIA Telecom to develop CDMA 2000-enable devices, says paper
China Telecom will team up with Taiwan-based chipset solution provider VIA Telecom, terminal-end device vendor HTC (High Tech Computer) and other Taiwan-based companies to establish a supply chain supporting CDMA 2000 technology, the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) has quoted Chin Telecom chairman Wang Xiaochu as saying.
China Telecom also aims to boost the number of CDMA-enabled CPE products to 200 by the end of 2009 compared to only 20 models available early in 2009 in cooperation with Nokia, Wang was quoted as saying.
