Chunghwa Telecom profit over NT$3 billion in July

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) on August 10 reported self-estimated net profit of NT$3.735 billion (US$114 million) for July 2009, with January-July net profit of NT$26.058 billion translating into net earnings per share (EPS) of NT$2.69.

CHT had about 1.4 million FTTx subscribers and 420,000 8Mbps ADSL subscribers at the end of July 2009, the company indicated.

Fellow competitors Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) on August 10 also released their financial figures for July.
