InfoLogix Achieves Motorola Enterprise Mobility Validation
HATBORO, Pa., -- InfoLogix, Inc. (Nasdaq: IFLG), a leading technology provider of enterprise mobility solutions for the healthcare and commercial industries, announced that it has successfully achieved Motorola's Enterprise Mobility Validation for the InfoLogix Mobile Device Controller (MDC), InfoLogix's innovative application platform for mobile asset tracking and bar code solutions. This designation assures InfoLogix customers of system interoperability with Motorola's rugged MC9090 mobile computer.
As both commercial and healthcare organizations demand greater access to real-time information across the enterprise, the InfoLogix Mobile Device Controller (MDC) application platform enables mobile data to be collected in real-world environments, and seamlessly integrated with the organization's back-end systems. The MDC enables perpetual data collection (RFID, bar code scan or manual entry) on a handheld device, while either connected or disconnected to a wireless network. Mobile data is seamlessly integrated to the organization's SAP(R) or other back-office system when a network connection is available. The InfoLogix MDC is also a Microsoft Certified "Designed for Windows Mobile" application and middleware solution, and is certified by SAP for SAP Auto-ID Integration and Unicode Certified, quickly and effectively allowing for the mobilization of RFID solutions.
Motorola's Enterprise Mobility Validated Solutions Program enables partners to test and validate their mobility solutions on Motorola products to help ensure interoperability and meet customer application-specific needs, as well as reduce both the risk level and the time to deployment for the customer. InfoLogix worked through the Motorola Solution Center to validate its integrated end-to-end MDC solution using Motorola mobile computers, RFID devices, wireless infrastructure and mobility management software. Detailed test cases were constructed to exercise the intended functionality under a variety of customer usage scenarios. Upon successful completion, InfoLogix's MDC solution was granted the Motorola Enterprise Mobility Validated logo.
"Our goal is to empower customers to rapidly unlock the power of seamless asset tracking and barcode identification on handheld devices across their entire supply chain, in both commercial and healthcare environments," says Kim Obermair, Vice President of Emerging Technology at InfoLogix. "The Mobile Device Controller application platform makes real-time access to data across the enterprise a reality, by allowing users to configure any workflow task, collect the data they need, and validate and transmit it to their ERP, warehouse or supply chain management system. It's an ideal solution for addressing supply network traceability, the delivery of fast-moving consumer goods, or asset tracking. We're proud to add the Motorola Enterprise Mobility Validation to our rapidly growing list of certifications."
The Enterprise Mobility Validation test was performed at the Motorola Solution Center in Holtsville, N.Y., in May 2009, on Motorola's MC9090 mobile computer, one of the most widely used and trusted mobile computers in the industry. The terms of the validation, including disclaimers, are set forth in the Test Agreement between Motorola and InfoLogix and the Enterprise Mobility Validated Test Report.
