A new series of solid state drives from Kingston
Company Kingston presented a series of solid-state drives SSDNow V +, which are characterized by very high speed performance. According to the manufacturer, this series is intended not only for new devices, but also for upgrading existing systems. In the series includes models with capacity 64, 128 and 256 GB.
Characteristics of performance in the sequential reading of all models is 220 Mb / s, but when recording, it can range from 140 Mb / s to 64Gb model to 170 and 180 Mb / s to 128Gb and 256Gb models, respectively. All models are made in the 2.5-inch form factor and weigh 84 grams. Drives have a low energy: at work no more than 2.6 W, and while waiting - about 0.15 Watts.
All three models are currently already available on the North American market, while 64 GB - worldwide. Cost is $ 254, $ 500 and $ 992 depending on capacity.
