Nokia Research Center Tampere extends its open innovation partnership with University of Tampere
Nokia Research Center (NRC) Tampere today extended its open innovation partnerships to include a new frame agreement with University of Tampere. This new agreement will recognize and formalize the co-operation between the University of Tampere and NRC, especially in the areas of human-technology interaction, games research and context-aware media.
“Nokia Research Center has an interest in new interdisciplinary research. New user interfaces and novel service concepts related to NRC ‘Rich Context Modeling’ focus area are some of the more concrete areas that need expertise across scientific disciplines,” says Jyri Huopaniemi, NRC Tampere laboratory director.
NRC explores technology frontiers, solving scientific challenges today, for Nokia to deliver irresistible personal experiences tomorrow. To fulfill its mission, NRC leverages a global open innovation network of research collaborations with universities, research institutes and other technology companies.
