T-Mobile G1 will not receive any «donuts», or «eclair»
The first smartphone running Android OS will probably not be able to get a newer version of the operating system. Models T-Mobile G1 will be satisfied only «cake» (OS Google Android Cupcake), and now «donuts» (OS Google Android Donut) and «eclair» (OS Google Android Éclair) it can not succeed. The problem is that Android Cupcake is already fully occupied all memory given by the operating system - for the larger programs is simply not the place to be.
HTC engineers does not preclude the possibility of further modernization model G1, but in general, their forecasts were too optimistic. Representatives of the company T-Mobile, sell this phone, refute such allegations, saying that the G1 will be further upgraded.
