Taiwan market: FET sees highest 1H09 non-voice revenue proportion among top three telecom carriers
Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) had 14.2% of its total revenues coming from non-voice services during the first half of 2009, higher than 12% for Taiwan Mobile and 11.5% for Chunghwa Telecom, FET announced at an investors conference on August 27.
FET had 6.276 million mobile communication subscribers, of which 3.362 million were 3G users, at the end of June 2009, FET indicated. The number of 3.5G/HSPA subscribers has steadily increased to over 200,000 at present, FET noted.
Total revenues and EBITDA for the third quarter of 2009 will grow by 1.8% and 2.6%, FET forecast.
