Apple has patented input "ink"

Rumors about a possible release by Apple planshetnika continue to circulate, although the official reports from the developer does not do. Not too much and the usual leaks. At the same time there are reports about the various developments, which may indicate that the subject of tablet devices with touch-typing companies are quite concerned about. For example, there was an information that the company has patented a new method of text input via the touch screen. The system is somewhat similar to input from a pen (not stylus), equipped with "electronic ink", which should not be confused with "electronic paper". This "ink phase" (so called its developers) can improve handwriting recognition.

In the patented solution for improving the perception of the device, not individual words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs in general. In this case, individual words do not fit into the machine perception of written, will be allocated quotes that will more easily find questionable recognizable fragments. This will accelerate as the entry itself, and its recognition. On the other hand, as the system can quickly recognize individual words, because it would identify them before the end of the input.

Application having been filed with Apple back in July of this year. But no one can guarantee that it will necessarily be implemented in one of the devices in the near future. Apple already has a patented input Inkwell for OS Mac OS X, which has never found a mass application.
