Qualcomm has introduced a new series of chipsets for smartphones and communicators

Qualcomm has said that before the end of 2010 there is a change flagship platform for smartphones and communicators. In place of the current family of Snapdragon QSD8x50 come MSM7x30, the first samples of which have already been sent to companies to test the manufacturers of mobile equipment. In commercial production, they will be launched before the end of next year. The new chipsets will support the transfer of data in the HSPA +, HSPA + / EV-DO Rev. B and SV-DO. The basis of the modified platform laid ARM v7 processor with a clock frequency from 800 MHz to 1 GHz. Also, it includes integrated graphics accelerators and GPS module.

MSM7x30 chipsets will support HD video with 720p resolution and recording speed of up to 30 frames per second, 12-megapixel camera, and two-and three-dimensional graphics accelerators will support OpenGL ES 2.0 and OpenVG 1.1. As stated in the software quality chipsets will be able to use the full range of modern operating system for mobile phones, including Android, Windows Mobile, Brew Mobile Platform and Symbian. Platform Series MSM7x30 will also have a built-in speaker subsystem 5.1, work with system power management PM8058, have a subsystem QTR8600 (built-in Bluetooth and FM-radio).
