CHT plans to roll out NFC handsets during Taipei flora expo 2010

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) is likely to team up with HTC (High Tech Computer) to roll out NFC (near field communication) handsets for use during the nearly six-month Taipei International Flora Expo 2010 which will take place from November 6, 2010 to April 25, 2011, according to CHT.

CHT, the telecom partner of the Taipei city government for the build-up of mobile networks and telecom services during the exhibition, also plans to launch a Bluetooth-enabled dongle that will enable NFC handset users to access information or discount coupons during the fair.
