Andes Technology Joins EEMBC Board of Directors

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. and HSIN-CHU, Taiwan -- The Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC) announced that Andes Technology, with its 16/32-bit AndeStar™ ISA and associated series of embedded processor core families, namely AndesCoreTM, to address the diversified application requirements of the embedded industry, is the consortium's newest member.

Andes Technology joins EEMBC as a member of the consortium's board of directors, with full voting rights on all major issues decided by the consortium, plus full access to all of the EEMBC® benchmarks.

"Andes Technology, with expertise in the areas of microprocessor design, system architecture, operating system, software toolchain development, and SoC VLSI implementation, will greatly benefit the evolution of EEMBC's benchmark suites, particularly those that are focused on mobile, networking, multimedia, and embedded systems in general," said EEMBC President Markus Levy.
