AT&T Signs Agreement to Bring Next-Generation Entertainment Services to Fresno Residents
Development Is Underway for AT&T to Deliver U-verse® TV, U-verse Voice and High Speed Internet to Campus Pointe Community.
AT&T*, the Apartment Renovation Group and RPM Management today announced a new agreement to bring AT&T bulk services over a fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network at Campus Pointe in Fresno, Calif. – a multi-dwelling cosmopolitan community located at California State University, Fresno, that serves more than 550 residents.
Under the agreement, AT&T will deliver 100-percent Internet Protocol (IP)-based AT&T U-verse TV, U-verse High Speed Internet and U-verse Voice on an advanced fiber network to designated units within Campus Pointe.
Located in the Fresno/Clovis community, Campus Pointe offers a variety of residential living options within a cosmopolitan setting, serving students, seniors and everyone in between. Campus Pointe also offers 30,000 square feet of office space and, in the future, will be adding a wide variety of restaurants, specialty retail stores, an outdoor venue known as The Square, where events and performances will be held, a 14-screen movie theater and loft condominiums in a village-style atmosphere.
This initiative with Apartment Renovation Group and RPM Management is part of the AT&T Connected Communities® program – a strategic marketing initiative between AT&T and regional or national single-family builders, developers, real estate investment trusts, apartment ownership and management groups, and home owners’ associations to provide next-generation communications and entertainment solutions to residents and homebuyers.
“The Connected Communities program is yet another way we’re working hard to keep Fresno connected to the people and information in their busy lives – whether that be across town or around the world,” said Kathy Halsey, AT&T External Affairs director, Fresno/Central Valley.
“This agreement with AT&T gives us an advantage over other properties in the area, while also boosting the value of the apartments we offer here at Campus Pointe,” said Chris Duke, property manager, Campus Pointe. “Our clientele ranges from students to business professionals to seniors and, with AT&T’s high speed services, we’re able to meet the varying technological demands of our residents and guests in an easy, turnkey way.”
AT&T U-verse brings together your TV, broadband, digital home phone and wireless services — all on one bill — with unique features that provide a new level of integration, convenience and control. AT&T U-verse offers multiple combinations of TV, Internet and Voice packages to customize your experience.
U-verse TV customers can enjoy numerous TV benefits, including the ability to watch and manage recordings from a single DVR on any connected TV in the home with U-verse Total Home DVR; an extensive High Definition (HD) channel lineup with access to 130 HD channels; the ability to program DVR recordings from their Web-connected mobile phone or PC; personalized, on-screen weather, sports, traffic and stock information via AT&T U-bar; and more.
With AT&T U-verse Voice, customers receive unmatched calling features that provide deeper integration across their bundle of services. For example, customers have a single, combined voice mailbox for convenient access to their AT&T U-verse Voice and AT&T wireless messages. They can also view their call logs on their PC or their TV screen, and initiate a call from their PC or TV.
AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet offers faster available speeds. All U-verse Internet customers receive a wireless gateway with their installation, so Campus Pointe residents will be able to connect Wi-Fi enabled devices to their home broadband connection. Wi-Fi provides consistently fast speeds for accessing the mobile Internet on smartphones and other devices, and Wi-Fi usage doesn’t count against AT&T customers’ monthly mobile data plans.
