Windows 95 on Android
I remember when Windows 95 was state of the art. And I remember some of the awesome games I had that ran in Windows 95. Sure, computer operating systems have come a long way since then, and I wouldn’t want to run those games on my computer now. But I might want to run them on my phone.
And that might be a possibility in the near future. Once again, those guys at xda-developers have made it happen, and use mamaich has done it this time. He has not one, but TWO emulators in Android running Windows 95. One he claims is stable but slow, and one is fast but buggy. He is now abandoning the project, but I’m sure others will pick up where he left off. And let’s not overlook the most important part — Windows 95 is running on Android phones. Probably not in such a way that average Android user could use, but let’s face it — this is cool. I am eager to see it continue to develop, and you can bet that as it becomes more accessible I’ll be checking it out.
