Notebooks Lenovo ThinkPad T420s and W520 on the platform of Sandy Bringe

Lenovo has released in the U.S. market two models of relatively simple notebooks that built on the processors Intel Sandy Bridge. Laptops ThinkPad T420s and W520 have the second-generation series processors Intel Core i5 and i7, respectively. More compact and lightweight ThinkPad T420s is based on Core i5 clocked at 2.5 GHz and the third level cache 3 MB. The model is also equipped with 2 GB of RAM DDR3 c clock frequency of 1333 MHz, integrated graphics, Intel HD 3000 and the hard disk 250 GB. Laptop screen 14-inch, LED backlit and has a resolution of 1600x900 pixels. The model comes with a preloaded operating system Windows 7 Home Premium 64.

Laptop Lenovo ThinkPad W520 is also positioned as working entry-level model. Thinkpad W520 Mobile Workstation is based on Core i7 processors with a clock speed of 2.7 GHz, the L3 cache 4 MB of RAM, a similar system installed in ThinkPad T420s, but twice the volume. The processor has a feature Intel Turbo Boost, which allows you to temporarily increase the CPU speed up to 3,4 GHz. Also the model has a built-in graphics adapter Intel HD 3000, which is complemented by a more powerful NVIDIA Quadro with 2 GB of dedicated video memory. Implemented and the function to switch between graphics cards without shutting down the computer - NVIDIA Optimus, which is available in all Lenovo ThinkPad notebook series T and W. Screen 15.6-inch model with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. It is noteworthy that the 320 GB hard drive has a rotation speed of 7200 rpm.

The cost of the described basic configuration is $ 1199 and $ 1449 for the Lenovo ThinkPad T420s and W520, respectively.
