NTT DOCOMO creates a separate department dealing with smart phones

Japanese mobile operator NTT DOCOMO announced that in connection with the continuing growth in smart phones, he decided to strengthen its position in this market, and decided to create a separate division that will oversee the business associated with smartphones.

The new division, which will be called Smart Communication Services Department, will integrate the existing i-mode services and expertise as well as planning and development of various multimedia services, content, Web portals, and security.
