900 million Chinese mobile

In China, the number of mobile users reached nearly 900 million, about the statistics provided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This is the first country with such a large number of cellular subscribers. It is reported that in late March, the number of Chinese mobile phone users reached 889 million, an increase in the quarter by approximately 30 million. It is assumed that at the current rate of development in May, this number will overcome the mark of 900 million. Then, apparently, close to the day when the Chinese people with mobile phones will be more than a billion.

For comparison, in March 2009, China had 670 million users of mobile phones, and in the same period in 2010 - 776 million. China overtakes India this indicator: According to the end of February of mobile phone subscribers there were 791 million, while in September last year, this amount does not exceed 687 million. For comparison, in a developed country like the U.S. (though inferior to the Asian region in terms of population), only 303 million cellular subscribers.
