Operator MTS has announced the implementation of complex projects in the field of transport monitoring of Krasnodar region-based navigation system GLONASS and technology transfer data between devices.
MTS has implemented a set of projects for monitoring the transport system of Krasnodar. In total over 3000 SIM-cards provide a performance of city infrastructure. Among the projects: monitoring the movement of public transport, ambulances, school buses, automatic data collection terminals for the sale of electronic tickets for the tram and trolleybus transport, monitoring of special mobile repair service workshops tram and trolleybus depot, and the organization of traffic lights .
MTS SIM-cards, connected to the tariff "Telematics" for data transfer between devices equipped buses, taxis, ambulances and school buses Krasnodar region. On moving objects installed terminals GLONASS / GPS, which allow to determine the location of vehicles, including the discovery of the congresses of the route, monitor compliance with schedules and timetables, as well as to respond immediately to breaking news of drivers in emergency situations, which organized the interaction with the services Rapid Response .
With the help of telematics services, MTS shall also monitor the health of traffic lights in Krasnodar Krai. Nearly 100 traffic signals are equipped with SIM-cards, MTS, which transmit information at the point of data processing automated traffic management system. In connection with the introduction of new fare collection system in the tram-trolleybus transport SIM-card MTS also in all terminals for the sale of unified transport maps of Krasnodar. On GPRS-channel MTS data on each admission to the card are transmitted to the bank, transfer money to the transport department. According to the operator, the implementation of similar projects in the Krasnodar Territory can reduce costs for maintenance and operation of vehicles by optimizing routes, track speeding car traffic and to reduce unproductive expenditure on a fuel (by precluding the use of official vehicles for personal purposes). The monitoring system also allows you to locate the vehicle in case of theft and reduce corporate spending on insurance (as the car actually has a satellite anti-theft system).
