In Moscow and Sochi available HD voice quality
The operator "MegaFon" and the company Nokia Siemens Networks announced the completion of the establishment in Moscow and Sochi network voice quality (High Definition Voice). In the first stage, the fall of 2010, the voice connection of HD became available in the network 3G. To date, as claimed in companies, the world's first complete introduction of innovative services in the network 2G (GSM).
HD Voice improves voice recognition and speech intelligibility, conveys all the individual nuances of tone and timbre of the interlocutor. This is achieved thanks to the fact that HD Voice uses a wide range of sound frequencies (from 50 to 7000 Hz) compared with the conventional technology of voice calls (300-3400 Hz).
The project was implemented in cooperation with Nokia Siemens Networks. HD Voice solution from Nokia Siemens Networks are based on the technology of broadband adaptive multiskorostnogo voice encoding (Wideband Adaptive Multi-Rate), which ensures continuity of services even when moving between the subscriber's 3G networks and 2G.
To evaluate the sound quality when talking on a cell phone does not need anything extra to connect and activate it. HD Voice is available automatically when you use phones that support this technology. As promised the operator, improving the quality of voice communication does not increase the cost of services - HD-connection has the same price as a regular voice call.
