Motorola Mobility Launches Motorola XOOM™ in Italy

World’s first tablet running Android™ 3.0 Honeycomb delivers a diverse mobile computing experience

MILANO, Italy – Motorola Mobility, Inc. announced the availability of the award winning Motorola XOOM™ (3G) in Italy. The first tablet to run on Google’s Android™ 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, Motorola XOOM delivers diverse and unprecedented content consumption capabilities to the Italian market.

Featuring front and rear-facing cameras, true multi-tasking functionality, the latest Google Mobile innovations, dual-core processor and a 10.1-inch HD widescreen display,

Motorola XOOM Features

Motorola XOOM boasts a widescreen HD display with 1280x800 resolution to support HD videos and movies; the ability to view videos and movies on a larger screens, such as HD televisions via HDMI; a 5MP rear-facing camera for 720p video capture and 2MP front-facing camera for clear video chats; and a built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass and accelerometer.

Utilizing the super-fast dual-core processor, the Android 3.0 Honeycomb user experience improves on Android favorites including widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customisation, and also features the latest Google Mobile services including Google Maps 5.0™ with 3D interaction and access to thousands of apps from Android Market™. Motorola XOOM also supports Adobe® Flash® Player downloadable from Android Market, enabling the delivery of rich web content including videos, games and Internet applications. Motorola XOOM supports up to 10 hours of video playback and charges in nearly half the time of competitive tablets on the market.

A Standard Dock for watching video content or listening to music through external speakers as the device charges
A Speaker HD Dock for sending HD content directly to a TV via HDMI or clearly listening to music through two built-in speakers – eliminating the need to attach external speakers
A custom keyboard with Bluetooth® wireless technology and special Android shortcut keys
