Nokia Siemens Networks appoints Paul Tyler to lead its Asia Pacific business
Nokia Siemens Networks has announced the appointment of Paul Tyler to lead its business in Asia Pacific. Tyler, an Australian citizen, is currently head of sales for the company’s Network Systems division in the Asia-Pacific region, where he and his team have helped deliver breakthrough customer wins and strong growth, particularly in the key countries of Korea and Japan. Tyler will continue to be based in Singapore and his appointment is effective from April 15 2011.
Tyler succeeds Rick Corker who has been appointed to lead the company’s North America Region, replacing Sue Spradley. Spradley, who joined Nokia Siemens Networks in July 2007, is stepping down to pursue opportunities outside the firm.
“I am delighted to have someone of Paul’s experience and track record of success in our talent pool and ready to take on the mantle from Rick,” said Ashish Chowdhary, executive board member and head of customer operations east* for Nokia Siemens Networks. “Paul brings a deep knowledge of the Asia Pacific market and its customers and has played an instrumental role in the strong performance in Asia Pacific during 2010.”
“Rick has been an inspirational and valued leader in Asia Pacific and has led the region to stand-out performance during his tenure,” Chowdhary continued. “Paul and Rick will work very closely together over the coming period to ensure a smooth transition from the point of view of our customers and employees.”
