New mobile Yandex.Maps for iOS and Android
Yandex has announced the release of new versions of mobile Yandex.Maps for iOS and Android. Mobile Yandex.Maps for iOS version 4.2 received such innovations:
Tags. Now you can save space on the map and build them routes to 1-touch. Now tags are stored locally on the device, but the plans we have and synchronization with a web-cards.
Night mode. Makes the card less bright at night, has an automatic setting, which calculates the time the sun itself.
New storage card. This will automatically update the card without removing the non-recent regions. And also there will be regional functions, for example - hiding routes where we do not pave.
Link button in the card object. You can share a link to place on the map for SMS, e-mail or just copy to clipboard and paste into a text box in another application.
And yet, especially for users iPad, the developers made big tiles, they are now 256x256 pixels. Screen is noticeably faster - to fill the screen now need 8 tiles, and not 64 as before.
