Amongst the stories in this issue of Customer View
we look back on the 2010 Football World Cup. We
find out how MTN South Africa seamlessly handled
a 40 percent increase in traffic with help from
Ericsson’s Special Event Support.
Convergence is a hot industry topic and traditionally
we’ve seen many fixed operators add mobile
services to their offerings. It’s less common that
a mobile operator adopts its infrastructure to
incorporate fixed services, but that’s exactly what
Meditel Morocco has achieved. We examine how it
has evolved its Mobile Packet Backbone Network,
demonstrating the breadth of the challenges that we
take on with our customers.
