Samsung Galaxy S II tops iPhone 4 sales in UK
The Samsung Galaxy S II is currently the UK's most popular smartphone according to sales figures from last month, taking the number one spot from Apple's iPhone 4.
The Samsung Galaxy S II features a large 4.3 inch touchscreen and has a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of storage space. It also has an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, a 2 megapixel front facing camera for video calls, a microSD card slot, FM Radio, 3G, GPS and WiFi. It runs on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system.
With some impressive specifications in a slimline design, it is one of Samsung's best handsets to date, and it seems to be a hit in the UK. Whether it will continue to dominate the sales charts and hold off the iPhone 4 from the top spot remains to be seen.
Samsung is aiming to be the leader in the smartphone market and the Galaxy S II appears to be Apple's greatest challenger yet.
