Tablet-clamshell Sony S2 seen on FCC site
We have already mentioned in the news about the two plates from Sony, called S1 and S2, which will be the first in a new line of Sony Tablet. This is a common and a folding model based on NVIDIA Tegra 2 and Android 3.0. And now one of the tablets - Sony S2 - has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). On its website the unit designated as SGPT211US, that is, a version for the U.S.. No photo, no manual yet published - only reports on the tests and some other documents that do not talk about specific features.
However, some data is still there: we are talking about Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth and 3G (850/1900 MHz), as well as possible support the standard HSPA + (adapter is included Ericsson F5521gw). Sony S2 release is scheduled for the autumn, and while the tablet remains held various offices before leaving. Recall Sony S2 is made in a clamshell form factor, it is equipped with two 5.5-inch touchscreen and two cameras. More detailed specs, obviously, will be announced closer to launch.
